We welcome enquiries and applications at any time, until 2019. If you think your project meets local need and at least one of the national priorities we want to hear from you.
How to Apply
There is a two stage application process – an expression of interest and a full application. Before requesting an expression of interest form you should look at the Applicant’s Handbook which provides information on the types of projects and costs that could be eligible. We also recommend that you look at our Frequently Asked Questions page. Once you’re ready to complete the form, contact the Programme Team (01305 225525, email@example.com) with a brief description of your project. If eligible, we will then send you the form by email. Completed expression of interest forms should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.

TIP: Don’t forget to refer to our local priorities in your Expression of Interest. Find these in the Introduction
How can we help?
For more information
- talk through your project with one of the Programme Team,
- see our occasional blog – Project hints & tips on the Noticeboard,
- come along to one of our application surgeries. Surgeries are short (up to 45 minute) one-to-one chats for people who wish to discuss their project with someone face-to-face rather than over the phone. The surgeries are to help you to establish whether your project could be eligible or answer any questions you may have about the application form. Booking is essential. To book call 01305 225525 or email
When to apply
You can apply at any time. We will try to consider your expression of interest within 30 working days. Once an expression of interest has been endorsed by the LAG you will be given a timetable to submit a full application to the Local Action Group. We will also suggest areas for improvement and explain where applicants can get more help and support if needed.
How we approve projects
Applications to LEADER is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. Applications are assessed against a range of set criteria by the Local Action Group at both stages and only those which strongly match the requirements of our Local Development Strategy and national priorities will be approved.
